A continuous 360 jamb and waterproof seal completely insulate the interior from the threat of water invasion. A full-time spring latch seals the unit even when it is unlocked.
The fire-safe is really waterproof. In fact the seal is so good I need to knee on the box and pull up at the same time to get it open. The outside of the box is slippery. It would be nice to have a handle. Size is great, price super, does the job.
